Dr Leigh Dotchin practices full time interventional pain management and is a Director of The Pain Doctors, Gold Coast, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australian Faculty of Pain Medicine and the Australian College of Anaesthetists. Dr Dotchin co-founded and co-directed the Gold Coast public pain unit before moving into private practice. Dr Dotchin has been Supervisor of Training for the Faculty of Pain Medicine on the Gold Coast and has spent more than a decade working in Pain Medicine. He continues to be part of a dedicated team undertaking treatments, research and data collection to further the options for patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. He regularly presents on interventional techniques and pain management topics.

Dr Anthony Espinet

Specialist Pain Medicine Physician and Anaesthetist with a key interest in interventional techniques.
Dr Espinet is a highly trained and qualified anaesthetist and interventional pain specialist with extensive expertise in all facets of anaesthesia and pain management. He specialises in back and neck pain, cancer pain, complex regional pain syndrome and the use of spinal cord stimulators for pain management.
Dr Espinet has been in practice for more than 33 years and is currently the Senior Consultant Pain Specialist, Senior Consultant Anaesthetist and one of the Directors of The Pain Doctors in Benowa, Queensland, Australia. He is also affiliated with the Pindara Medical Day Procedure Centre and the John Flynn Hospital in the Gold Coast.
Qualifications
Dr Espinet's career in medicine began in 1988 when he graduated with his Medical Degree (MBBS) and Postgraduate Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA) from the University of the West Indies. After graduating, Dr Espinet completed extensive post-graduate training in Edinburgh Scotland, England UK, Europe, Texas USA, and Australia, before entering into private practice in Queensland, Australia. Dr Espinet is a Diplomate (DA) and Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in UK (FRCA), and Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (FFPMANZCA). In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Espinet is a senior lecturer at the Griffith University School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor at Bond University.

Dr Espinet started the first public pain clinic at the Gold Coast Hospital in Southport in 2006 and later co-founded and co-directed the public Gold Coast Interdisciplinary Pain Centre. He served as the deputy director of the department of Anaesthesia at the Gold Coast Hospital for 2 years before moving into private practice. Dr Espinet has spent more than 20 years working in Pain Medicine. He has conducted 3 international multicentre clinical trials in pain management and is the lead investigator for an ongoing clinical trial on the use of Etancercept in Alzheimers Disease. He has published over 20 papers and abstracts in scientific and medical journals. Dr Espinet lectures extensively to many scientific and medical audiences and when he is not assisting patients, he enjoys spending time with his family.
